In 2017, we’re going to see more marketers producing videos, because video just works!
With video on the rise, it just makes sense to follow the trend. However, marketing through video is also adapting. Soon, video production alone won’t be enough as we enter the realm of live streaming.
People want to know what’s happening now, and while a pre-produced video is still great for your marketing, your audience wants to see more. Not convinced? Here’s a few reasons why you should include live stream video in your marketing strategy:
WHY SHOULD YOU USE LIVE STREAM VIDEO?
1) It’s new and innovative
Live stream video is a “newer” way to market your company. Yes, it’s been around for awhile, but not every corporation has hopped on the bandwagon…yet. Take advantaged of this awesome tool before it becomes saturated. It’ll make you look like a company that keeps up-to-date on the latest trends.
2) It’s a great way to show off your products or services
Live stream video is a great way to provide product demonstrations and give company insights. Similar to a tradeshow or one-on-one meeting, you’re able to give in-depth information to your prospective audience.
3) It makes your company seem more human
Live stream video doesn’t allow for re-takes or pauses. Everything that happens in that very moment is being broadcasted. Companies are often afraid of not seeming polished in their presentations, which is why live stream video may be daunting. However, your audience doesn’t really care if you stumble over your words from time-to-time, don’t know an answer to a question, drop something, trip, etc. These little flaws make you human and are 100% relateable with your audience. As long as you’re genuine and seem like an OK person to work with, you’re going to be just fine.
4) It’s a great way to further audience reach
As stated before, live stream video is a new venture for marketers. It’s a new avenue that has intruiged many audiences. Use this to your advantage!
5) It makes your company look up-to-date
You’re not just continuing with that same old song and dance. You’re producing exciting content that many haven’t even considered.
WHAT SHOULD YOU LIVE STREAM?
Alright, so now that I’ve convinced you that live stream video is a marketing essential, here’s four ideas to help get you started:
1) Product or service demo
Show off what your company has to offer with a product or service demo. Get creative with this one. You don’t have to make it look like an infomercial. Be informative and original. You’ll be much more likely to capture your audience’s attention.
2) Q&A session
Take a few of your most frequently asked questions and answer them through live stream video. Chances are there are many potential customers out there wondering the exact same thing.
3) Office tour
Show off your office space with an office tour. All that pretty decor and up-keep isn’t for nothing afterall!
4) Corporate Event
Showcase your corporate event through live stream video. Now all those people who “couldn’t make it” will be jealous of how awesome your seminar, webinar, or open house really was!
